When it was announced that San Diego would be the next city to host the annual IRB
USA Sevens, admittedly many fans were skeptical about what the city had to offer.
Rugby and all the reveling and party madness that comes with it is not synonymous

After a high profile performance in the New Zealand leg of the IRB 7's, high expectations had been laid on the team for this tour. In Wellington, the team beat all odds to get to the quarter finals where they lost to eventual winners Samoa by a whisker. This was a new look team full of chipukizi's with the regular veterans like Sir Benja and Oscar (dabal O) taking on new roles as coach and manager and not as players. Being a miro in stato has taught me a lot. One thing I tend to never forget is to recognize the presence of the boys in blue. I’m not talking about those city council officers that used to fukuza hawkers huko in the middle of tao, no, I’m talking about San Diego Police.
